You know, I try to act like I can’t get down with everything. And to be fair, there are a lot of things I really can’t get down with. I could name them, but that might be your favorite and I don’t feel like getting into it. But there are some things that I can’t even front about liking, as foolish as they are. One of those is silly dances.

You know exactly what I’m talking about. The Stanky Leg. The Halle Berry. The Ricky Bobby. The Rack Daddy. Stuff you and I are way too old to do in public, but will YouTube, learn and do with wild abandon at home. Why do I like them so much? Cause they’re fun. And I like to have fun. I don’t mind looking a fool at home with my homegirls until we get tired and then fall over in a heap of laughter. That’s a good time. And cheap. And relatively safe, though the older we get, the less and less safe it is to try these ambitious moves. Now will I take it to the streets? Um…no.

Here’s my point: You better try to enjoy yourself now, because you might not have the chance tomorrow. Do something you fun while you have to chance. Dance with your kids. Dance by yourself. But stop looking like the sky is falling all the time. I mean, it might be and I understand that. But if you get to moving, maybe you won’t get hit. And with that…
